I needed to use "delete volume" on both sections

then this makes the multi-drive sections into 1 unallocated section

then go into a new drive setup proceedures

Hi to all
Does anyone can tell me how to recover this reserved partition, due to I wan to deleted and then created again without to made a clean osri of my system. Also I have this error:0X80780119 when I tried to make a image from C drive into another, acording to the message state that I have been exceed the 50MB of the reserved partition and for this reason I cant made the Image, also I have been tried to see this post inside windows 7 forums http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/39230-how-rebuild-system-reserved-partition.html but showme errors

Boot into your Windows 7 installer>Repair My Computer and run Startup Repair at least 3 times.

This will recover your ability to boot into Windows 7. If it fails to rewrite the 100mb partition then try running a Repair install from the Win7 desktop, by running the installer and selecting Upgrade to reinstall Win7 while keeping all programs, files and settings in place.

If the repair install fails to reconstruct the 100mb partition, you can either do without it or wipe your drive and reinstall Windows 7, although it does not always install the 100mb partiition, which contains boot files and the same recovery console tools which are on your installer or repair disk, made available by tapping f8 at bootup.

I believe he is getting that not uncommon message from Windows System Image that there is not enough space and it fails to create the backup.

That is why he wants to delete the 100mb partition.

So do you suggest he deletes it and recover using Startup Repair to rewrite the MBR to Win7 partition?

Seems like 100mb shouldn't make that much difference creating an image.

Where are you trying to save it?

The error appears to be connected with there not being enough space on the 100mb for the bitmap to be created - Windows System image relies on that to create the Image.

It only appears on some sytems - not clear to me why.

Removing the 100mb, or just leaving it there and taking it out of the picture by marking 7 partition Active - run SU rep 3x - might do the trick.

Some 3rd party apps. have come across this - again apparently only on some systems - usually they have their own snapshot drivers that can be used to overcome it.

Just make System Reserved an active partition

My PC'sa manual Sleep Mode stopped working (only went to login screen) after I installed OpenSuse as dual boot with Windows 7 as another partition on the same hard drive. Took a long time to get to this forum to find the answer due to all of the different reasons for sleep issues.

All I did was go into Disk Management, select the first partition on the hard drive (System Reserved), right click and select Make This Partition Active.

Now I have both dual boot with Linux using GRUB as well as Windows 7 sleep mode.

Today I noticed my Win 7 partition had become System drive, while the 100mb Sys Reserved had become Boot as well as Active. I knew this is wrong, a transposition of where System and Boot should normally be. The Repair console which 100mb places on F8 Advanced Boot Tools also disappeared which is the only reason I wanted it.

So using Partition Wizard I marked Win7 active, deleted 100mb and Resized 7 into its HD space, then recovered the System and Boot back into Win7 by running Startup Repair twice.

I report this because I have improved performance as a result. Whether this is because it was in error or 100mb is generally a drag is anyone's guess.
