System Restore completed successfully

I have a dell desktop computer running windows 7. I got the blue screen of death. I used the installation disc to run system restore. It's says System restore was completely successful and to restart the computer. Do I eject the disc before I restart the computer??

Hi blr929. welcome to the Forum.

Yes, remove the installation disc. Then restart the computer, quickly press the eject button on the DVD drive so you can remove the disc. If the Restore has been successful the computer should start up normally.

FYI: If you didn't change boot options and just selected the CD/DVD drive to boot from, it shouldn't matter as your system is/was set to boot from first HDD/SSD. If you changed the boot order and the CD/DVD is the first listed, computer will try to boot from CD/DVD, if CD/DVD is bootable, it runs the CD/DVD, if not, it checks the next listed device, etc.

Security Concern: I have auto-run disabled for USB, CD/DVD, External HDD, SSC, ect.
