System Restore Did Not Complete Successfully Error 0xc0000022

Before visitors arrive I always set a restore point and restore my Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit system after hey leave.

This time I got a message:
System Restore Did Not Complete Successfully. Unspecified Error 0xc0000022

Earlier restore point = same

Earliest restore point = OK.

Can you tell me what's going on? What should I do next time?

System Restore is far from reliable at times. Have you tried from Safe Mode?

I was able to successfully restore to a restore point 10 days ago.
Next time, I'll try Safe Mode as you suggest.

Very Strange:
I had posted about this problem on my desktop computer.

Today it happened on my Windows 7 laptop. I was again able to restore only to a restore point 10 days earlier. I did not try safe mode.
I noticed that there were many Microsoft Critical Updates restore points.
