I did and rebooted the system. I'll keep an eye on it.
Thank you

Using non-RAID on purpose as I find RAID to be too temperamental.
Now set to AHCI
Try typing in the rest of the commands.
I got access denied on each try of the net stop pr net start time

I'm administrator on my machine.

Are you running the command prompt as Administrator (right-click - "Run as Administrator")? This adds higher authority than being merely Admin status.

You also have to enter each line separately and hit Enter after each line.

In this case I would, assuming you've double and triple checked that your time and timezone settings are correct, see if changing the CMOS battery helps. They are pretty cheap and you can buy them just about everywhere including drug stores.

You could try this..

Go to Start/All programs/Accessories and right-click Command prompt and "Run as Administrator".

Enter
net stop w32time
w32tm /unregister
w32tm /register
net start w32time

Then hit the Enter key after each line. Reboot and see what happens.

When I had similar problems I tried this but it did not work! However, even though I am not an expert and when none of the solutions offered on the net seemed to work. By logic I used a combination from different solutions and it worked for me. Could this be a problem for ones when solution above did not work?

At the elevated command prompt (with administrator privileges), type the following command

1. Type "w32tm /debug /disable" and press 'Enter' (net stop w32time gave an Error 5 Access denied response!)

2. Type "w32tm /unregister" and press 'Enter' (without using the first command the second did not work!)

you should get the response " W32Time successfully unregistered"

3. Type "w32tm /register" and press 'Enter'

you should get the response "W32Time successfully registered"

4. Type "net start w32time" and press 'Enter'

you should get the response "The windows Time Service is starting. The windows time service was started successfully"

This ensured my Internet Time synchronization started working again. I suppose w32tm and w32time commands are interchangeable from the responses I got:D.
