It seems that at every given chance someone recommends MSE even when the OP is using a competent alternative and has expressed no displeasure with their current solution.

Out of personal interest, could you please explain to me, how do these recommendations to use MSE differ from you openly advertising Norton?

You recommend and advertise Norton in 100% of your posts, also those which have nothing to do with security, by having a link to their "Deny Digital Dangers" campaign.

As long as they don't conflict with each other, its fine.
REASON: Better protection.

P.S., Some might say if I m doing this for better protection, they why not running 3-4 antivirus together.

Well, I haven't seen anyone specifically state that you can NOT run two or more together, its just not recommended. As the two (or more) may conflict and cause more problems then its' worth.

There is a reason for that. MSE is the nearly the only antivirus that does not create problems with Win 7 systems. Not everyone has problems with other antivirus programs; bu if you read the BSOD threads, you will see that just about every program other than MSE has caused problems.

And it is free. I do not see the sense in paying for a program when I can get one for free that is just as good.

I always leave Defender running alongside Norton Internet Security. Microsoft often redflags some adware Symantec didn't have a look at yet. Example, flvdirect

If they disabled Defender, MSE style, I would seriously reconsider using NIS further.. And I probably wouldn't be using it now if I hadn't got it 4 free..
