The partition table does not have a valid system partition

If the data is off the HD, then from PW Disk tab Wipe with one set of zeroes (secure erase).

Next from Disk tab or by rightclicking drive run Surface Scan to test the HD, with both boxes ticked.

Next rightclick to format NTFS Primary partition(s), assign a letter. Rightclick on partition(s) to Check File System.

This should give it a clean bill of health and set it up at the same time.

I feel the very best way would be to use diskpart from an elevated command window to run a clean all (wipe) of the HDD, that will leave it as "Raw" space that can then be reformatted using Windows disk management for further use.
