yes i noticed that as well, when you you are looking at that when you change the core you are looking at does the number stay the same? mine has 4 cores which are all running at around 800, which is 3200 total, but still not what is advertised.

I'm betting you nailed it right there.

easyh4x, if I read it right, your Multiplier should be 17X. Right now, you have it at 4X. Go in to your BIOS and change it and you'll see the benchmark you expect.

Also, since it's the Black Edition you're not stuck with 17X if your CPU cooling and other components will handle a bump. I'd get it running stable at stock speed (17X) first, then post back for some overclocking advice. (Assuming that interests you at all.)

i have been in the BIOS searching around, the portion where it has my cpu clock is inaccessible, it is just grayed out ....

Do you have a manual for the MB ? Check the section on the Bios setup.

Just did a search of your MB. Even though the MB socket fits the CPU, could it be that it does not support this speed of CPU ?
