-THE- safe way to uninstall AMD drivers?

I've been having some dual monitor set up crashes lately, and I've been meaning to reinstall my AMD drivers, however.. I'm a little scared about this process. The AMD uninstaller says it will uninstall ALL AMD software and it ''may'' uninstall chipset drivers as well. This is an issue for me since I have an AMD CPU/Motherboard combo and I'm afraid it might make my computer to stop functioning.

What do I do if I just want to uninstall the drivers for the GPU only? Nothing else.

Hello Erick mate before I went to Nvidia I had a Radeon HD 5450 on my Sandy bridge and I remember having to re install the Catalyst Control Centre to get it to go correctly, so I am not real sure whether you uninstall that and then reinstall it or have to go to specific drivers.

Anyhow that is what worked for me maybe this post will take you back to the front of the queue as I see you have had no replies.

Sorry mate but that is the best I can suggest.

Personally and this is just me I find the NVidia stuff so much easier to work with to be honest but that is just my opinion for whatever that is worth

Your computer won't stop working without the correct AMD drivers mother board or video. It will just work on default drives and will not be so fast and features won't be present. If you want to clear out the drivers for a fresh install use drive sweeper. Guru3D - Driver Sweeper
I find both AMD and Nvidia driver updates and re installs a PIA. I have some of each and almost every update cycle one of them throws a wobbly.........So I keep this to hand.
