I would look at a pre-cat truck and call it a day !

This was something that I thought about, but couldn't remember when they became required. That probably means that the vehicles would have to be so old, that all of them would either be junk, or high-priced, as good vintage pickups are not cheap

I got curious of this too, and apperantly, under Title 42, Chapter 85, Subchapter II, Part A, § 7521 of the United States Code (@____@), all vehicles after model year 1983 should have a catalytic converter. . . .

Time to dig out that 1969 car! XD

I may end up regretting it, but after having to walk to AutoZone, only to find that the tailpipe that they had was only !8"...not nearly long enough, and they didn't know what size of tailpipe is on my car, I extended my walk to the grocery store (where I started out, the day that I learned of the theft). By the time that I got home, I was done in, even though it is a short walk...it's times such as this that I feel my age.

As soon as I got my wind back, I went back to Craig's List, and found this vehicle nearby:

2000 Chevy Blazer 4x4

It's not much, but it certainly beats my old jalopy, and I got it for a couple hundred dollars less than the asking price. It does need some work, so by the time that I get done what needs to be, I'll probably have another $500 into it, but it will certainly beat walking.

Glad you were able to find something. Walking can be great exercise, but it's usually only enjoyable when you do it because you want to...not because you have to.

Maybe for some people, I have never enjoyed walking any farther than from the abode to the vehicle.

I just mean, if you can walk to and from the store and save money on gas...it's great.
if you can walk at night rather than paying for a gym membership...it's great.


But if you have to walk to get your groceries...well..that's not so great.

The thing is that I hate going to the grocery store so much that I buy enough to last for ~ 3 months at a time. Obviously, I'm not going to be able to carry that much home by walking.
