Solved "This copy of Windows is not genuine" on Windows 7 Home ed.

Hello and Thanks for any help provided.

I recently removed Norton Antivirus from my laptop when I received the "not genuine" message appearing on my desktop. I used the standard Control Panel method of removal. When logging back in the computer, I was given prompts to re-enter my product key. The key is pasted to the bottom of the computer, and it was purchased from Best Buy back in 2012. I did that and received the following error code: 0x8007000D

in SAFE MODE please.
Uninstall and Reinstall Norton product using the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool

(it removes items from the registry that i think are corrupting WAT.

That did the trick. Showing Genuine Windows icon in the Control Panel, Systems tab. Thanks so much, and give my regards to Captain Harkness!
