Human Rights Day is celebrated annually across the world on 10 December. The date was chosen to honor the United Nations General Assembly's adoption and proclamation, on 10 December 1948, of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)

Today is the International Human Rights Day.

We still have regions in the world where people can not freely express themselves, where citizens can be prosecuted, punished and even punished without prosecution because of their opinion, ethnic heritage or color of the skin, religious or political beliefs or lack of them, and so on.

In parts of the world the rulers still think they know better, telling citizens which information is OK, which forbidden. Even some of our members, although participating the discussion here, talking about Windows and computers, can not follow every link posted because their government has blocked access to parts of the Internet.

Also we living in so called democratic, open societies sometimes judge our fellow human bees because they are different, or come from (in our opinion) a strange place.

I would like to wish each and every of my dear fellow geeks here on the Seven Forums, my international and democratic home on the Internet, a peaceful and happy Human Rights Day, regardless the color of your skin, the God you have chosen to believe, the political views you support, or the place where you live.

Good news about PC

Good News:

Yesterday when I got back home there was my tower waitng for me. On the invoice it said Motherboard and Other. It was away for 2 weeks, so it wasn't that bad and it is working OK.

Bad news:

I went to Hastings to-day to see my Jobsearch Advisor and the office was closed and locked. It might the Christmas Dinner or something, but it would been nicer to have him to ring me, as I wasn't really planning to go to Hastings this morning.

Other news:

I am going to try the small disc that came with my newish phone on the PC this evening and see if I can get online, like I did with the other one. So I might be on the forums tonight.

Dennis .. Yes your right about the returns.. I try to never get in that situation.

I thought the above item would serve me a lot better than my cell phone , I so rarely use .
I can get service for the Tablet at the same cost to me as my cell phone plan.
The Tablet .. has a browser.. e-mail ..tons of applications.. and more.. books , movies..
photos on an on. the android thing on it also.. ( I may have spelled that incorrectly.)
I can purchase a cell phone card for what I need.. on a Trac phone from Wal-Mart or another brand.

Stalker we had snow flurries last evening as my Sis and I were returning from a trip...
