Today I'm studying all day

Howdy.

Went today to Walmart to stock up on goodies for the upcoming tropical weather.

Bought a propane heater supposed to be safe for indoor use.
Don't worry I replaced the carbon monoxide detectors battery with a brand new one and tested the battery and the detector.

It is only for day use if the power goes out during the Monday thru Wednesday coming storm.

Our cooking stove is electric.
For you cold weather people with gas stoves when the power is out you been there and done that.

If the power doesn't go out I'll just take it back unopened and unused.

Fun starts tonight!
Good time to come visit.

Bring your own blankies and pillows for the sleep over LPt!

If I disappear from the forum for Mon. to Thurs. you all know why.
When power goes out I will shut this down to save the back up battery. UPS will only run about 7-8 minutes.

No TV or computer! Aggghhhhhh!!!!!!!

Today I did something totally different, something I have not done since 1967. I took Mae Lyne and a neighbor lady 93 miles to Tampa to attend a ballet production. My neighbor's son has a ballet company and he wrote the script, choreographed it and co-produced. It was an outstanding performance and I had a grand time - this coming from a dude who doesn't dance and is about as arty as a chunk of granite!

MIKE you better NOT send that stuff down here.. :devil: I'm praying we don't get any here.. hope you won't either.. could get really nasty if so... especially nasty for me .. I have nothing that runs on GAS.. only electrical lines to my home.. they are underground.. that helps NONE that they cross my front yard.. if they fall from a coating of ICE.. I'm still outta luck.. I have some sandwich fixings .. a loaf of bread.. a few other things , I'll be okay .. I have plenty of blankets /quilts to stay warm..I have some old fashions lamps for light.. plus the fuel / oil for that very use... mind you no cooking will be done here.

Carl... GREAT !!!!.. one doesn't have to be arty or know music or dance to enjoy Ballet..
it's one of the beautiful arts... it's always good to stretch ones horizion/wings ocassionally.
I know the girls loved it also.. Congrats on being their driver.
Riding a bike takes a lot of balance you know... and control.

Lady Pint ....My horizons/wings have been stretched enough.
I took my wife to a Bach Symphony as it was a requirement for the music class I took in college
I never heard the end of it from her. She told me if I had to attend anymore school requirements to go alone!
Hate it when she acts like that! hehehehe
