so i was downloading a file off the internet and i got a lovely little trojan, i ran norton on it and it didnt detect it, and every time i tried to open bittorrent or google chrome microsoft like security advisor or something said that it could not open because of the trojan and it advised me to download antispy safeguard free trial. So i downloaded it and it did it it's thing, but it told me that i have to install the heuristic module for like 100 bucks. Now i dont have that kind of money lying around, so basically how can i get rid of it.
any help would be appreciated

Hate to tell you this, but Antispy Safeguard appears to be a virus itself. Do not give them and money or your info.
The only sure way to get rid of every trace of this is to backup and do a clean install.

Antispy safeguard is apparently your trojan. They want your money. I suggest you get SuperAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes. If you cannot download it on the infected system, download it to a USB stick with another system and run it from the stick - maybe even in safe mode.
