Trouble with failed driver on Windows Update

Tonight I decided to try out Win 7 Ultimate RTM (32bit) on my Lenovo T43. I have had pretty much a flawless install save for one glitch that came while installing drivers from Windows Update.

I got a failure to install message on the Intel Corporation - Display - Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family that the Updater was trying to install.

Here are the details:

Intel Corporation - Display - Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family
Installation date: ‎9/‎10/‎2009 10:13 PM
Installation status: Failed
Error details: Code 800F022B
Update type: Recommended
Intel Corporation Display software update released in January, 2007

Is there any way I can go back and redownload and try to reinstall this again. Right now when I click on the Update button it says there are no more drivers even though this one failed to install.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi GhostRaider, welcome to the forums.

You might want to try going Here and try running Intel's 'Driver Update Utility' and see if that gets a better result than Windows Update.

   Note

I had the same issue when first install Windows 7 with my Intel 945 Express Chipset, the update would fail every single time

Unfortunately, Intel have not yet released a Windows 7 (32/64) driver for the 910GML or 915GM so Vista drivers in compatability mode may be your best bet of the 'Utility' does not work.
