I am trying to get my audio drivers working on a continuous basis. About once per day the audio stop working. Then I have to uninstall both drivers and put my machine into sleep mode. Then, when it wakes up, about half the time the audio drivers are re-installed correctly and half the time they are re-installed but they still don't work. So, I have to do a reboot, and again, about half the time this works, and about half the time it doesn't work. Now, for the past 3 days I have had no audio at all. No matter what I do, I can't get the audio working now. Is there a way to get this to work permanently? About 1 month ago everything was fine, and then all of a sudden, for no reason at all, the audio started to act very wackadoodle. Please help!! TIA!!

What audio drivers are you using?

The message that I get reads: 'no speakers or headphones are plugged in'. This is in the lower right hand corner of the screen, right next to the system clock.

Take a look in MSINFO32 >Componenets>Problem Devices and post the device ID

Also check in services.msc that the Windows audio and Windows audio endpoint builder services are set to Automatic.

Yes, Windows audio and Windows audio endpoint builder services are both set to Automatic. As for Problem Devices, see the image below.

I don't know why this thing acts so random. It just doesn't make any sense.
