Trying to install video card on new build

I recently put together a new computer, using some parts from my last one. The video card I was going to reuse (PNY GeForce 210 DDR2 512MB PCIe 2.0), but I am having a lot of issues getting it to work. Right now I'm using the onboard video, but as soon as I plug the video card in and fire it up again, no picture from either card. I've gone into the BIOS and changed it so it accesses the PCIe first, and this did nothing. What am I to do, I don't see how this video card isn't compatible, but obviously I'm missing something.

I see you are on an asus board, I would suggest looking at bios updates. I couldn't get my 5850 to work on my asus board without updating the bios. ...and even now it's still problematic every now and then.

Alright, I've never updated a BIOS before, is it just on the ASUS site? And when I download it, it's a .rom, what do I do with this/where do I place the file?

Edit: I checked my BIOS version, the date is 11/22/2010, and is newer than ones I found on the ASUS site...

Bios flashing can be tricky asus provides a tool for doing it in windows though I don't really recommend that method.

If you still have the motherboard manual I would suggest reading everything it has on the subject before even heading to the asus site for the update.

Would it even be worth doing an update, since the BIOS listed on the site have an older date than the date given to me on my current BIOS in System info?

The date isn't what you should be looking at but the version.
It is still strange that your bios shows a newer date than that available.

Newest online was 2201, I have 2301. Was there anything else that I've done wrong in trying to install this?

I'll let someone else pick this up, I can't even explain why your motherboard has a bios version that doesn't apparently exist unless you've somehow gone looking at the wrong motherboard.

Yes, it says so on the box and in the system info.
