Solved Trying to run CMT12GX3M3A2000C9 at 2000MHz

I just bought a set of CMT12GX3M3A2000C9(1 set/12GB) to replace a 6gb CMG6GX3M3A1866C7 set, but I can't get it to run at 2000MHz. I enabled the XMP profile and the bios won't post unless I set it to 1600Mhz or lower. I think the QPI/DRAM Core Voltage: 1.25 is too low? I disabled the CPU OC before troubleshooting the ram.

I've been running a set of CMG6GX3M3A1866C7 OCed to 1866Mhz 7-7-7-18 1T for almost 6 years without a problem.

I would guess that you have one or more bad sticks of RAM. Not that the RAM itself is bad (it could pass Memtest86+ with flying colors), but that the XMP profile is bad.

Have you tried installing one stick at a time to see if each one will run on XMP?

Based on the fact that you were running 'over spec' RAM on XMP without problems previously I would say there is a good chance there is nothing wrong with the motherboard. (But we can't rule that out entirely)

There is also the chance that one or more sticks is bad in that it can't run at the advertised speed.

You could try turning off XMP and manually overclocking the RAM. But if it were me, if I bought XMP RAM I would expect it to work.

I got the ram running at 9-10-9-27 1T 2006MHz(XMP settings except changed to 1T) with QPI/DRAM Core Voltage: 1.60. With all 3 sticks installed it passed MemTest in windows 7(175% coverage). The windows memory diagnostic is useless, after 3 passes on the memory with QPI/DRAM voltage set to 1.40v it wouldn't even boot the OS. I haven't used Memtest86+ much, but I will test this again soon.
Now on to overlocking the Ram.
