TuneUp Utilities 2010 - TuneUp Disk Doctor problem

Hiya!!

I'm using TuneUp Utilities 2010 and i did a Hard Disk test and then it asked me to restart my computer because of hard disk test which is time to begin in next reboot, so i restarted it and disk test started to run normally while booting, i let it complete the test and when it went back to desktop i did another Hard Disk test in TuneUp Utilities 2010 but it asked me to restart my computer again because it found something on my hard drive which requires a restart again and another hard disk test while booting, what causes this very annoying problem here, it asks me to restart my computer all the time!!

I bougthed a license for it and it's 100% legal softaware and all the updates is installed too!! Is there any way to fix this restart message in TuneUp Utilities 2010 and make it run like normally and not to require a restart after every Hard Disk test and fix in boot??

This is a brand new computer which i have this problem.

Here's my configs:

HP Pavilion DV7-3197.eo
TuneUp Utilities 2010 version 9.0.4200
Windows 7 NVIDIA Edition 2010 x64

When i ran x86 computer i never had a problem like this...very odd!!

I would start by uninstalling TuneUp Utilities. These types of utilities are not needed for Win 7. We have an excellent tutorial on speeding up Windows, http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/11728-optimize-windows-7-a.html. Third party programs are not necessary for Win 7 and can, in fact, create problems.

It has to restart so that files that are open will be closed so that it can make the required changes, that's just how it works.

FWIW, if you continue using silly programs/apps to "tweak" 7 you WILL cause more problems than you solve.

I agree with the above, Don't mess with win7. Tweak apps cause me much grief with friends computers.

I think you should check Disk Doctor's settings. Maybe it is set to check other disk partitions in your computer besides the one where your operating system is saved. I'd rather burrow deeper into the Disk Doctor's settings and maybe there is an option to disable that by unchecking all the disk partitions it is set to check.

Windows' own disk check module will suit you better and can be run whilst your computer is on, just make sure you close all your running programs.

Computer>>>right click C: drive or another drive>>>Properties>>>Tools>>>check now>>>uncheck automatically fix file system errors>>>check scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors>>>Start.

This will take long, depending on your hard drive's capacity.
