Turn my PC to remote machine

Hello,

I am interested in turning my PC to a remote machine (like a dedicated/rootserver) but to be able to start up and shut down my PC w/e I want remotely. Also I would like not to change my OS (windows) in order to achieve that, if it's possible of course. The whole thing has to do with my business trips (I have to travel around and change places) so I need to turn my home PCs into remote machines in order to be able to control them from my laptop. I searched a bit and I found this Home but I would like to find a way with windows.

Thanks for answering but it seems that you don't read carefully.

You can't start up and shutdown your PC remotely with teamviewer.

You will have issues with starting up the machine. Wake on LAN uses a magic packet that is sent as a broadcast message therefore cannot be routed on the internet. Depending on your NIC it may be able to wake upon open of a TCP session however it is not widely supported.

Is there just one machine that needs to be accessed remotely?

You are going to need to do some port forwarding in order to get it to work with NAT as well as possible sign up for a DNS service or request a static IP address from your ISP.

the only thing, I don't like is that file transfer is not included in the free version.
