UAC out of control

I was recently forced to reinstall Windows 7 on my Desktop PC. It's working great, except for one little glitch, that I've not been able to figure out or repair.

Just for ease of operation, I always set the UAC level to Minimum (all the way down on the slider).
That works, but, if I check it after a reboot, it's all the way at the Top (maximum).
I've tried multiple times to reset it "Down" manually, and I've even run a little script, to set it to Minimum, but alas, nothing works.

So, I'm just wondering if anyone here might have a fix for that. ???

Thank You,
TM

Hi Techno,

you could try the registry fix.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

then, in the box on the right
EnableLUA -- change the value to 0

if the above does not stick -

notes
its possible that either the built-in Administator, or another Group policy rule is over-riding it

Group Policy Editor - Quickly View Enabled Policies in Windows

User Account Control (UAC) - Change Prompt Behavior for Standard Users

UAC - Enable or Disable for Built-in Administrator Account | Windows 8 Help Forums

Thanks for your response. I did go to the Registry, and did as you said. I think I may have fixed it.

If you have access to built-in Admin, maybe also reset that UAC?
