udate bios on Acer Aspire 5100 problems????

Hi,
I installed the windows 7 ultimate 64-bit on my acer laptop and I'm trying to update the bios, I downloaded the file from their website and when I run it
the swinplash utility comes up but when I hit the button to flash bios I get and error message cannot load driver error 1275. I've tried to run as administrator but still it won't work? anyone know why this is happening? or what do i need to do to get it to work?

Boot into DOS and do it from there.

I also installed the drivers by hand with no problem... Except that the card reader does not work!

And, if the driver's are enabled the system completely hangs!
If there is any solution please let me know! The crapy maker (ACER) does give support with the installation of windows 7 in a Aspire 5100!

Last one bought by me!

acer 5630 win7 bios update

though it did not fix my memory problem (failure to recognize the full 4gb ram) I was able to update the bios using reatogo (XP) booting from cd. plugged in my thumb drive and copied the 3.60 bios, ran the installer, good to go.
