Hi. I am trying to reinstall Windows on my Gf laptop; an Acer Aspire V5-531, model MS2361. At selektiv which HDD to install Windows onto that harddrive since it was GPT partisjon, I try a tid from the internet:
diskpart
List disk
Select disk
Clean
Exit

I then reformated the HDD
This trick let me proceed but after it was done unpacking the file from the DVD, i got an error code 0x80070017. After a quick google search it sand i had to fiddle the bot sequence of the DVD drive to make it compaitible, but noe I cant access the BIOS. I press F2 at boot, but it only goes to "click a Key to boot to drive" and then to Windows install. If I DONT have the cd on I Get a long screen of text saying "PXE-e61: media test failure, Chess cabel"

So what do I do at this point?

First thing i would try is to remove battery form laptop then press and hold the power button on laptop for about 1 min then put battery back in and try to access bios then doing this step should reset the bios

If it was GPT then the BIOS settings are probably for UEFI which is fine as you should first try to install to UEFI on a UEFI BIOS to enjoy all of its features. So did you see that the DVD drive had a EFI choice in Boot Menu? You need to choose the EFI version of the DVD drive. UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) - Install Windows 7 with - Windows 7 Forums

If this fail enter BIOS setup and report back the settings for Secure Boot, UEFI, CSM, Legacy BIOS, and BIOS Boot Priority order from the Advanced, Security, and Boot tabs.

I have tried this, also took the lid of to try to find the CMOS battery but its probably under the motherboard, which I dont know how to remove.

Please take a look at this link it should get you to the service manual on how to tear down laptop and you can then get to the cmos battery
ACER ASPIRE V5-571 SERVICE MANUAL Pdf Download.
And be extremely careful with the tear down but also watch when you remove the battery for the little encasment the battery sets in is extremely fragile after you remove it you can either try to hook power button back up temporarily to drain leftover juice by holding it in for a min or leave the battery out and laptop tore apart for like half hour to a hour that should be enough time to reset bios
