unable to install drivers

hi friends,

i have some big problems regarding my OS since i have installed a new windows 7 ultimate 64 bit OS recently.the drivers are not installing on my laptop.the case is that,

when i am trying to install the intel hd 3000 graphics driver for my laptop.it is saying that my machine does not meet the requirements for the driver.i don't understand why?my laptop is hp pavillion g6 2137 tx.please help me regarding this.

Hi monusing,

As per the specs of your laptop (Here), It has an AMD GPU (AMD Radeon HD 7670M (2 GB DDR3 dedicated)

You can get the drivers for your card (64bit) from here. Get the AMD drivers and install them.

thanks for the reply,well there is a problem with my AMD driver which i have installed ,because after my laptop boots,it shows a error that "the amd driver installed is not functioning properly,please install it again"

is there any link between my intel 3000 graphics and AMD gpu drivers?

Ahh OK! AMD GPU is a dedicated card for the laptop (not switchable). You have to download the drivers for both Intel and AMD from the link provided above. With this also download "DriverSweeper".

Uninstall the drivers for AMD. Run driver sweeper and clean the left overs of the old driver. Install the drivers now for AMD.

i have followed your above instruction and installed a latest version amd driver but i am not able to see the catalyst control center for my amd driver?i have checked for it in control panel but it is not available.

i have checked the device manager and found both the drivers(AMD and intel) installed. Please let me know your comments.

Did you install the whole driver package or just GPU drivers? If you selected custom install, it will only install what you selected.

The amd driver i installed are whole driver package as per my view, rest you can check it in "GRAPHICS DRIVER" option in the link given below for my model Software & driver downloads HP Pavilion g6-2137tx Notebook PC | HP® Support

and i have done the express install ,after that the catalyst manager started installation but after installation i am not able to see the drivers installed in the uninstall program features but the drivers are present in the device manager.

Uninstall the drivers again. this time uninstall the drivers from Safe mode. Run driver sweeper (in Safe mode). Reboot in Norma mode and install the drivers. Fresh Install.

but why i am not able to install the driver for my synaptics touchpad driver for my hp pavillion g6 2137 tx model?

So, are you able to see CCC in the Control Panel now?

What error are you getting while installing drivers for touchpad? Is touchpad not working at all? or it's not getting detected?

yeah, now i am able to see ccc in control panel
and while installing the touchpad driver the installation is initiating but later after extracting, it vanishes.

when i checked in the device manager,it is not available for the mouse device.

Ok, so you are trying to update the drivers or the touchpad is not working at all? You can get the drivers from the same link for your laptop I posted before. Run the driver .exe as admin and then try to install.

i am just trying to update the drivers as the mouse pad is working,well i have tried your above instruction but no improvement.

i have attached a screenshot of the device manager for mouse devices.i just want to have synaptics touch pad driver there.

Keep your mouse and Synaptics drivers ready. Uninstall the Mice and other pointing devices and do a fresh install for both mouse and touchpad.

how do i find the mouse drivers because they came in default along with the windows installation?.
no mouse drivers except the synaptics driver is available in the website.

Yours is a plug and play mouse. You need to uninstall the drivers. Refresh the device manager to search for any changes. Once it refreshes, it will find the mouse and the touchpad and install the required drivers. After that you can install the drivers for your touchpad and update
