Unable to login to Yahoo Mail

So here's the deal-o guys, ever since a couple of weeks ago, my dad's been unable to login to his Yahoo e-mail account, I've checked pretty much anything (AV or any other real-time shield blocking cookies or whatever, connecting his laptop directly to my ISP router, the list goes on and on).

What could be causing this?

See if it works in safe mode
See if you can log into his account with your computer
Download ccleaner and clean the crap from his computer, temp files, cache, etc.
Check browser security settings
Test with another browser.

Hmm I haven't tried in SM yet :huh:.

I have however tried with different browsers, running CCleaner, etc...

Safe mode will tell us a lot.
If that does work try a clean boot, so we can localize the cause.

Try using another user account, set one up if necessary.

Is his keyboard on cap lock or some other setting?
Can the keyboard be defective?

Can you log in with your computer using the password that he says is correct?

Yup.

I haven't thought about the keyboard... Interesting.

Well I'm definitely gonna try all these later tonight.

No problem, as I said come back with good news and that is much better than anything.

Test with another browser, Chrome, FireFox etc.
Check all my posts, want to be sure you saw all the additions that I made

Hey heres a good one, check the keyboard driver. Any warning markers, is it up to date?

Sorry for the MASSIVE delay but, my old man was on a business trip for the past few weeks (and naturally he had his laptop with him).

So, I stopped by his house late last night and tried a few more things:

• A complete Windows re-install (It's an HP, so I used the recovery partition)
• Tried different browsers (Chrome, Safari, etc)
• Different AV setups

And nothing.

Same problem persists, which is baffling to say the least. The weird thing is, he's able to sign in from his desktop without any issues, but with his laptop, it sometimes works, and sometimes it doesn't.

Did you try going directly to the Yahoo home page, then log in to his mail there, I'd start there first
