Hello everybody!

I've had an extremely frustrating day trying to connect my WDTV Live to my desktop PC, and after not getting any help from the WD forums, thought I might move up the ladder because surely someone here can help! ;P

So, down to business...

I connect to the net through a wireless connection to my router. Because its in the other room, I can't connect my WDTV Live to the router without running cable along the floor. Having said that, its not far away from my desktop PC, so I'm trying to connect them directly via cable. The problem is that my WD keeps telling me that it can't obtain an IP address and I don't know how to fix it or what values to put in.

Heres my ipconfig (hopefully that helps):

You need to setup ICS.

How to setup ICS

It would be a lot better to just run a cable to your router. Running this connection will put your WDTV on address of 192.168.137.x

-update-
I should add that your computer will not be your router for the WDTV.
