Uninstall Office 2010 Beta

I am having some problems getting rid of 2010 Beta.

Uninstall from Programs and features fails.

Revo does not show an icon for Office 2010 and I can not figure out which file to drag and drop on it.

Installation of 2010 RTM x64 fails. I think because of the previous failed uninstall.
No problem I got my system back with an image. So I am back to 2010 beta until I figure this out.

even i had the same problem of uninstalling office 2010 beta. i deleted all the files related to it and deleted the registry keys like office 14 in regedit and now have a small problem of removing the click to run icon from control panel

Run the beta cleanup utility.

In case that doesn't work...here's the link to manually remove Office. It says it's for 2007, but it should work for 2010 as well.

Uninstalled Finally

Now 2010 RTM fails to install. I dl'd another file in case it was a corrupted file. Still no go. I am going to have to put the Beta back on. It works great.

No numerical codes, a message pointing to a log file.
which I looked at it. It was three files actually. One file discussed the Ms Key. I don't know what that had to do with the install. If I had a bad Key why didn't it just speak up. Another was a Html file that only had an install sequence in it. I didn't see any thing of use. I lost those files when I put my good image back on disk. That was kind of dumb. I just wasn't thinking straight at the time. I'm gonna let the smoke settle and I'll try it again.

You could try this program. It say's it's for Office 2007, but I used it to rip out some early Office 2010 builds.

Office uninstall

I have failed so far to get Office 2010 installed. I will attack it again some time in the future. But I was going to post this because I see numerous threads about uninstalling various versions of Office.

I used CCleaner.....It doesn't get it all
I looked at Revo but I couldn't decide which file to drop on it. Office has numerous programs (word, excel, etc.) So I skipped Revo.
I deleted a bunch of entries manually in the register. Still wasn't completely successful.
I deleted manually via explorer all the files and directories that I could find.
I used a file from MS Technet cleancr2. It didn't get it all.
Finally I used a file from MS Technet called msicuu2.exe which cleaned up some install info.
After all of that 2010 install no longer detected another Office installation and continued on in the install untill the very end when it failed. Haven't determined what the error is yet.

bill2, your tool was really helpfull
it cleaned all the unnecessary files and then when i scaneed it with my eusing registry cleaner and aml registry cleaner all invalid registry entries were removed

This is what worked for me

I originally tried to uninstall the Office 2010 beta, and it was taking forever.
So I hit the cancel button, and it cancelled correctly.....or so it seemed.

I rebooted my machine and then went back in to the Control Panels in order to re-run the Office 2010 beta uninstallation. Well, the item had now disappeared from the list of software, and there were heaps of Office 2010 references left on my system.

Running the Office 2010 RTM version wouldn't go through, since it complained about a prior beta release already being installed which needed to first be removed.

So I dropped into Safe Mode and hacked away at the registry and deleted the program files, but still no joy.

Anyway, in the end I ended up finding the following article.

I followed the advice given, and this successfully removed all references to the Office 2010 beta.

I'm now running the Office 2010 RTM version without any issues.
