Solved Update fails multiple times Windows defender

Been the same update for the past week or so,I don't use defender but it's annoying me because it keeps asking me to update but always fails.My hunch is the update is corrupted when it downloaded.Tried sfc /scannow it fixed some files,installed the latest Microsoft hotfix and still fails. Is there a way to delete the update and make it re-download because i think its corrupted and that's why it wont install or maybe it's another problem,unsure.Any suggestions and help is much appreciated.

Double check to see if you have any of these .dll files missing in the C:\Windows\System32 folder, or cannot be fixed by SFC. If so, you could just let me know which ones you need, and I'll be happy to upload clean copies for you to replace/restore them.

il'l do the scan and check the system32 folder. No i used this hotfix the one the little bubble in windows gave a link to that it suggested to take a look at when the update failed called windows help and support window. Anyways this is the one I went to that windows suggested.

Okay I did the scan and it was unable to fix some.Also i'm missing the following dll files in the system 32 folder

You should be able to extract the files from your Windows disk.

Of those you listed I do not have two. One other I have ends in a different letter than yours.
May be the same or slightly different so would be useless.
If I had them all I would have zipped and posted copies.

That is the only ideas I have.

Don't know if i'm failing to find them or what but I don't see any of them in the main directory of system32 on my dvd.Maybe i'm looking in the wrong place or it just doesn't have them

I have never had the need to try it before I remembered seeing the tutorial and posted it for you.

Yep, I don't have those .dll files either. It looks like Microsoft ("Click here to few or hide detailed information" link there) included them in the reset for other MS programs like Office.

That fixed it brink,update installed now.Wow wonder what happened to have had got broken in the first place. Anyways thank you all for the help.The Microsoft tool fixed it
