Have folks had success getting Windows 7 going on Intel 400 or 500 series chipsets? I have an 11[SUP]th[/SUP] gen tried on an Asus B460M and B560M, and while I can get Win 7 installed, and mouse and keyboard work during installation, I lose USB keyboard support when I am in Windows (setting up the account name and anything beyond). USB mouse, wireless or wired, work just fine though.
Any USB keyboard I plug, as basic as it may be, is unresponsive when in Windows. Under the Device and Printers panel, I see the keyboard as an "Unspecified" device at the bottom. Going into the properties for any of them it says "the drivers for this device are not installed: code 28”. These are the most basic keyboards, no media keys, etc. These have been plug and play just fine on my prior Windows 7 machines, under older hardware.
I have tried the setup provided at the start of this thread, I've tried the USB3 zip file in SIW2's sig, and even tried FlashBoot Pro. All end with no keyboard once in Windows.
Any suggestions? Many thanks!
EDIT: I've also tried turnig XHCI handoff on/off under the bios.
