Hi there. Trying to figure out what to do. My work station runs windows 7 64 bit. The latest updates, dated 8/12/14 caused the following: the pc will stay on for a couple of minutes, give or take, then shuts itself off. Which particular update in the batch would cause that? There is no BSOD. Another thing I noticed: When I reboot in the Safe mode, it stops after loading the driver for ATIPCIE and hangs or reboots. I had to restore to a date of 8/10 to be able to work. So once I had a system restore done, I updated my display driver (for an AMD 760G), thinking this was the problem. AMD shows a version 14.4. I had version 6. While it was being installed, it
rebooted without a warning and I had a BSOD. The problem as I see it is: One of the update interferes with the display. My antivirus in MSSuite/Defender. Shy of installing each update separately, what else can be done? Thanks in advance for your tips and help.

Thanks, NoelDP:
These are the updates: kb2976627, kb2976897, 2978668, 2978742, 2982791, 2952664, 2970228, 2980245, 2981580, 2467173, 2937610, 2943357, 2830477.
In an effort to solve this and determine the culprit(s), I have since installed kb2918614 (not listed). It has caused no problems thus far, after about 1 1/4 hour.

KB2830477 is an old one - please Hide that one for the moment

Then do a Check for Updates - you may find that one or two disappear.
KB2976627 has been causing problems for some, and so has KB2979228 - so avoid those for the moment

Everything went ok, as long as stayed away from the questionable updates. Thanks, all. Cheers.
