I am planing a major hardware upgrade. New mobo, cpu, ram, etc. This also means different chipset. Eventually I will do a fresh install to convert from 32 to 64 bit but I would like to use the 32 bit for now. My question is will I be able to boot back into Win7. Apparently I can't do a repair install like XP. I don't want to loose my user settings and I also have SP1 installed which reminds me thanks a lot Microsoft for not letting us slipstream service packs anymore. Why, when I pay good money for an O.S. does everything have to be so painfull?

Thank you for your responses. They will be very usefull in the future. Unfortunately I jumped the gun and did an all nighter install of 64 bit. The worst part is finding program keys in saved emails but I gotter done.

You're welcome Seven. At least you got it sorted in the end though. :)
