Solved Upgraded to larger SSD, cloned the old one, and need partition help

I bought a new ssd. The old one is 64g. The new one is 256. My IT instructor took both home and cloned the old drive for me. Now I need to expand the os partition because the c drive active partition where the os is is the same size as the old ssd. So, I need to expand my primary partition, but there is a new small active partition between the os partition and the unallocated space. I think this is keeping me from having the option of expanding the os primary partition. Here is what I mean

I assume you are talking about the 11.35 GB partition. It is NOT active.

You could delete it if you want. I suspect it is a partition put there by Toshiba to aid in recovery to factory specs, so I would NOT delete it.

Instead, I'd use Partition Wizard, which will allow you to add the 178.85 unallocated GB to C.

You can't do the job in Disk Management because it can expand a partition ONLY if the unallocated space is IMMEDIATELY ADJACENT TO THE RIGHT of the partition to be expanded. In your case, that 11.35 GB partition is in the way. Partition Wizard does not have that limitation.

That's what I thought. That 11.35 is not the recovery partition unless it is an additional recovery just for factory specs. The recovery partition is to the left of the boot partition. However, if I can expand c without deleting that 11.35g space, I would prefer to do that until I know for sure what it is.

Where can I find partition wizard?

Okay, thank you, Ignatzatsonic! I downloaded the partition wizard and took 100g from that allocated space. That should be enough to accommodate my os and then some, and I still have space to do something else. I might throw another os on it.

The 11.35g partition is the recovery partition for my HDD. I am not sure why I would need that unless I load an os on it. Right now it is a storage drive. I will research that, but thanks a bunch! I am set! :-D
