usb to usb bridge cable

Is there a problem between different versions of windows, if you try to use a bridged usb transfer cable to move files / folders between PCs Thanks SMS.

As far as I know there is no difference in "crossover" type USB cables. The same cables that were used on XP, also work in Vista/Win 7/Win 8.

If you are having problems its not the cable.
