I'm using WPA-2 for my wireless network with a Verizon Westell 7500 wireless router/modem. No problem there but I was curious as to why the Verizon software I use to get to the router recommends using WEP because it encrypts your wireless traffic. I've never heard anyone recommend WEP over WPA.

Could be one or both of two reasons:

1. The modem does not support WPA
2. They don't know what they're talking about.

1.The modem does support WPA and I'm using it.
2. I agree but still surprising that Verizon recommends WEP.
