Oh hi. I'm trying to change my line-in(blue) into an output(green) because my speakers' jack broke inside the plug and half-a-jack is still there, already try to fix it and i just got it worse. When i had xp, i used my VIA driver application to do this and it actually worked. Now i installed seven and when i tried to install my xp driver i couldn't because 7 said it was already installed. Then, i checked control panel and looked for audio devices, the driver i found is from Microsoft, and everytime i uninstall it my pc reboots and it's installed again automatically.

I read a thread about the jack reassingment with realtek, i read till page 14 and didn't get it to work.

I would really appreciate if someone could give me some help here.

I suppose first thing is to go to VIA's website and look for a windows 7 driver.

VIAs driver may be much more feature rich than the default Windows driver for that chipset...
