Video Cable, Can It be Extended

I would like to relocate my computer chassis but the monitor cables have it well tethered. Is it "reasonably possible" to extend those cables without loosing image quality?

Depends on how far you wish to extend by and the type of cable, I have used both HDMI and VGA cables of 5 Metres without issues - I actually replace the cable rather than extend, and also avoid "bargain" cables
