How to Stress Test a Video Card with Furmark​

1. Download Furmark from the link below.
FurMark: VGA Stress Test, Graphics Card and GPU Stability Test, Burn-in Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net
2. Run the .exe file, and follow the installer choosing the default values. When done, start Furmark.

3. Select your resolution from the drop-down menu, and enable the following:

• Burn-in
• Xtreme burn-in
• Post FX

4. Click "Settings", and select "Log GPU temperature". Press OK when done.

5. Press "BURN-IN test", and the test will start.

6. Watch for artifacts on the screen, and keep an eye on the temperature log. If you see artifacts, or the temperature levels out, stop the test.

Thanks Roaster I will do that one just am mystified by the problems I am having with it and yet none of the other machines.

But I ma beginning to think down the lines of a new mobo and CPU because to replace what I have is going to be nigh impossible

Yeah I think it's either the CPU or the motherboard about to die. At least Ivy Bridge motherboards are not expensive as Gulftown's.

Well checked every cable and stick and card for a good seating but still posting in 10 forum just not happening - just keep losing what I type.

There is no way I could get the same board and the prices I have seen match Skylake ones and it really gives me the trots when I know this machine has been good and I might just look at Gigabyte boards instead of Asus. Trouble is a new CPU too eh?
