Solved Video Corruption after Installing Sabertooth Mark 1

I recently had to upgrade my processor and motherboard since they both decided to die. I'm now on a z97 Sabertooth mark 1 and i7-4790k(currently at stock till I can get my system stable). I had a problem with my drivers at first(and this might be more of the same) which I documented here http://www.sevenforums.com/drivers/336817-usb-drivers-failing-when-not-safe-mode.html
Now I have another problem. When I boot into Windows 7 I get it coming up and I can log in, but within a minute it looks like the video gets corrupted and it freezes(I've attached a picture). Currently BIOS is at default. Not sure what I should be testing to get this working.

It doesn't happen in Safe Mode. What is a good way to figure out what driver is causing this?

Side Note: Is Open Hardware Monitor supposed to be able to show temps while in safe mode? I use it and I get no temps or voltages. If not what is a good monitor I can use in safe mode? Anyone know the command to load the drivers for it to use?

EDIT: It seems to be running just fine in Safe Mode. Prime95 has been running for 30 minutes now and I'll keep it running for a few hours probably to be sure.

EDIT2: Prime95 ran fine. I let it go for 2.5 hours before I stopped it. I also ran memtest86+ and it passed with no errors 7 times. I doubt it's a hardware issue then. Need to figure out what driver is breaking it then.

Safe Mode runs with a limited set of drivers. You may have corrupted drivers or incorrect drivers installed. Your best bet may be to reformat your drive and do a clean install of the OS including all MB and component drivers.

The problem is that I don't have the copy of windows with me anymore. I lost the disc a little ways back when I moved.
Is there any way for me to check drivers one by one to figure out which one I have to reinstall? Otherwise I guess I can just try each of them.

Have you updated your video card drivers? Also have you checked to see that you are running at the correct resolution and hertz for your monitor? Example 1920 x 1080, 60HZ.

And this is somewhat confusing...

Is there any way for me to check drivers one by one to figure out which one I have to reinstall? Otherwise I guess I can just try each of them.

Why not download the most recent driver for your video card and using it? Am I missing something

You could switch to onboard graphics, remove gpu, uninstall all the previous gpu drivers, refit gpu and download and install the latest drivers.

Might be worth a shot.

Could be that the gpu has gone bad though.

I actually managed to fix it by changing when the video drivers are loaded(at least I think that's what fixed it). I changed start value in the registry to 2 if anyone else has the same problem.

It now passes Furmark, prime95, memtest86+ so everything seems good now. Not sure how that fixed it.

Never heard of that one before but glad you are up and running again.

Neither had I, I was just trying to force the driver to load in safe mode and it magically worked. Kind of worrying, but all the stress tests I've tried have said the system is good now so I guess it fixed whatever the problem was.

Never heard of that one either. Hope there are no other tricks lurking in the background for that one

But hey, you got it fixed. Enjoy.
