Hi everyone,

I have a problem with windows 7, when I watch a video on my pc or laptop(both with windows 7) the video will freeze so now and then(sometimes more often than other times).

When the video freezes I can still move my mouse, close the full screen, browse arround in windows.. And if I have task manager open I don't see any extra CPU or memory usage..

If I browse arround in windows(or Utorrent or any other program) it works fine for 5-10 seconds, but after that it also freezes.. But I can still use programs I haven't used yet..

I can't open new programs because than explorer.exe freezes.. So I have a bit of a Midas problem, everything I touch during a "video freeze" gets frozen..

Everything stays frozen for about 30-60 seconds and when the video unfreezes, everything unfreezes..

I don't know what it is or how it is happening. It's on my laptop and on my 2 weeks old desktop.. So it can't really be a hardware issue.. Only thing they have in common is windows 7..

I hope anyone else has had this problem and knows a solution.. Or if anyone has any ideas as to where I should look it would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the advice roderunner, but it didn't work.. It still freezes, I've also tried VLC but even that won't change anything.

Uninstall Klite and install the Shark007 Win7codecs.
The Shark007 software installs a Settings Application, open it and select the SUGGESTED settings checkbox.
