hey, i've bought an usb stick. i'm planning to make it bootable to install my Windows 8 from it, since my DVD Drive is broken and i can't repair it. So, my W8 is stored on DVD. could you get me a good tutorial regarding how to make the usb stick bootable and put the Windows 8 on it ? Thanks !

Well brato you could just go over to the 8 forum there is a lot of different tutorials over in there - same folks as in here just a different OS. Just register as you did here in 7 forums thats all I did using my current ID for there.
Now I have had a look through then tutorials and they look to me to be quite involved using a stick to install mainly because you will have to make a stick that is bootable.

When you say repair the drive Brato mate they are really very very fiddly to do anything with and so cheap now they are treated as throw away item. So it is a real pity you cannot replace the drive mate usually it is only one screw and then just pull the thing out slip the other in and fix in.

Thanks, i've managed to install my W8 to SSD from an bootable USB using Windows 7 USB Tool. My laptop works very well now. This thread can be closed now.
