Dear Friends,
I want to establish a VPN. My local LAN network is 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0. The remote LAN network is also 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0. When I ping by “ping 192.168.1.0” command, how can I be sure that the replies are from the remote LAN? Sincerely,

You can't use tracert as that shows the route

He didn't say tracert, he said ping.

I'm thinking this is a metric thing, I'm not sure.

A ping will just ping the local subnet

Thank you Guru, then how can I test whether I am connected with the remote LAN succesfully?

The only way is to either rdp onto the pc or map a drive and check the folders
