The drive works on another computer with USB 3, so not a problem with the drive!

Hello radostin04!

If you are certain the problem isn't with the drive, then it has to be with the system.

Are you sure your USB ports are otherwise working? Have you tested any other devices on them? Have you tried every port and changing the cable?

Did you reinstall the same version of Windows which you previously had?

Have you tried the drivers from this list on the Asrock webpage?

ASRock > FM2A88M Extreme4+

Cheers! :)

I can use the drive over USB 2, and i tried both of my USB 3 ports. I have installed the drivers from the ASRock Website, and yes, i reinstalled the same version of Windows(From the same CD actually). USB 2 devices work on the USB 3 ports, i cant try with anything else USB 3, i dont have any USB 3 devices other than the hard drive.

My advice would be to find or borrow another USB 3 device and try it on these ports.

If the drive is working on other system's USB 3 ports and your ports turn out to actually be fine (via another device testing), then you should probably contact Microsoft as this is an OS issue or driver issue.

Go into Device Manager under USB check for updates from there.

Actually the errors are under Other devices, but still on a USB Hub, not in the usb section of device manager

I could suggest you uninstalling these USB drivers and then reinstalling them. If this doesn't work, perhaps the installation of Windows this time wasn't that successful.

My best advice would be to contact Microsoft support for more accurate answer.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us

But as it seems, the problem is not in the drive but in that system's settings.

Good luck! :)

You mentioned that Windows can't find any more than what you already have. May be the case is that what you have as drivers is all there is and is enough, just incorrectly or incompletely installed. When you reinstalled Windows, these drivers were also installed, separately or not, so by removing them, you should be able to install them again, the same ones and see if that boosts the system and fixes the issue. :)

Good luck with Microsoft and post back with results! :)

I Found an old ASRock DVD, It Was Extemly Scratched, but it still worked in my DVD drive! I intalled all of the drivers from there, one of them fixed the problem(Which one, no idea!)

So it was in fact a driver issue, as suspected. :) I'm glad you got it fixed, good luck!
