I dislike the fact that Windows 7 includes features that don't apply to me or my hardware and I cannot use them. Why can't I write on my screen?
That is a good point. They should provide a basic installation option where they install the system as today with all the bells and whistles - for people who do not want to bother or have only basic skills. And then there should be a custom installation option where one can pick and choose and reduce the bloat - like built-in vLite. Plus there should be ways to control some of the monster files like winsxs so that those do not grow to ridiculous sizes.
The modularity of the system is too basic and there are too many uncontrollable interdependencies. As an example: Why does the Snipping Tool depend on the Tablet PC option. Answer: Legacy, and they cannot be bothered to seperate it properly.
