Hi All,

I've successfully did a clean install of Windows 7 with many thanks to Ignatsatsonic.

I have an old Dell Desktop PC and upgraded the memory to 3GBs, Graphics cards, etc for Windows 7 Home Premium.

Normally I would have installed the following Drivers with Windows XP Media Centre (2):

1. Intel Pro VE 100 Network Connection

Windows has installed this chipset.

2. Control Drivers - Intel Chipset Software (Do I need to install?)

Release Date: 1/22/2007 - Version: A018.1.1.1010
Importance: Recommended - Download Type: Driver
R140595.EXE

3. Audio Drivers - Sigmatel STAC 92XX (Do I need to install?)

This was standard. I've upgraded to an Audigy SE/LE which has been installed by Win7.

4. Video - Intel 82945G Express Chipset

I gather these were the original video drivers. I have a NVIDIA 6800 and installed the new drivers without any problems.

Still can't use to the fact that Win7 does take-over with installing many items.

Thanks,

This is not XP. Drivers come automatically. It's called 'progress'. Only if you think you have a problem with a specific driver, manual intervention is warrented.

In any case open and have a look at the Device Manager (Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System and then Device Manager on the Left Panel)) to confirm that all the Drivers are in place.
