What is wrong with the AOL Mail?

Hi,

I use AOL Mail (IMAP) with Thunderbird and some times I can't access my account with my password (the correct password and login) in Thunderbird!

Then, I open Firefox and go to AOL Mail website. I try to access and I can't again!

Then, I need to reset my password to continue using the AOL Mail (IMAP and Website)! I've done it several times!

What is wrong with the AOL Mail? He resets my password in a few days?

I use the Free AOL Mail!

Hi seventrad, I use AOL mail also but usually just access it directly from FFox. I can also use Win Live Mail to access it using POP3. The tricky bit is finding (and remembering the correct wording) the setting in AOL to allow it.

My password reset again!

"IMAP and POP" section not have nothing about password automatic reset!


I am very angry and unhappy and if this continues I will definitely change from AOL to another provider. Already got in touch with AOL but they do not respond!

I do not know what to do!

Hi seventrad, I may have been wrong in my suggestion re POP & IMAP in AOL settings but it is related. I had to give myself permission to access my account (I use POP3). My method of accessing it was with FF addon 'Webmail Notifier' by entering my username, password + en-us. This is not required using Win Live Mail & have never used Thunderbird.

AOL is being buggy, nothing you have done. I have always used Yahoo and Hotmail with no issues.

I would like to do a phone call to the AOL Support but I don't want to lost my time! I will change to Gmail!
