Well, both my systems perform very well. I guess it is due to the SSDs. Apart from the video editing, I really do not perform any heavy duty tasks. So I am not really unhappy. This is the difference between measurements and real life.Wow, that i7 is a bit disappointing. That's part of the reason why i keep laptops low powered and portable and keep desktops for the power stuff. I'm somewhat surprised though, the rest of the hardware shouldn't be impacting these scores that much.
But I think next year I will have a new one built. Would do it myself, but with my poor eyesight, I cannot see the itty.bitty parts. When I do anything in the boxes, I always need the wife to place the bits.
On paper (WEI), the laptop looks pretty good though - for a laptop.
