Yeah I was stuck with those sort of speeds at home for a good 8 years, so I feel your pain Well sods law strikes again, as soon as I post complaining about the speeds and how they've dropped over the past few days, it springs back up.



So let's leave it there Before it swaps back!

I still can't complain. The other day it dropped to my advertised speeds (50/20), now it's back up. Did Comcast bump up the speeds to do some diagnostic work?

I have no idea what's happened to the net here, but it's completely plummeted over the past few days. I used to hit 95Mb/s on a good day, now I can barely scrape 20.

That`s an incredible upload speed. My up is low, but who cares about that right !!!

On a really good day (once in a blue moon), I can hit up to 5MB/s upload But there's 96 people in my halls of residence so it tends to rely on them not watching iPlayer etc.

Not being funny or anything but are you sure you are on BT infinity? Reason being is BT infinity mim is 12Mb/6Mb ok you not far off with your up but you are way off on your down speed and by rights BT can't charge you for infinity with those speeds so you may have a problem somewhere that needs looking into by BT. You say your at the very end of your exchange? Any idea how far that is? because I'm the same at the end of my exchange, last but 1 cab it's around 4.6km but I'm still getting 78Mb/19Mb. Something not seem right there.

dave.can you check what type home hub 3 you have , you should have type B not A, its on the label at the bottom of the hub.

we just had bt infinity installed option 2 FTTH and the engineer brought a bt home hub3 round that was version A, i put my own router on when he had set up the system. with fibre FTTH it dont matter how far you are from the exchange.
