I guess that dpends on what speed you have, for good or bad. For me, I'd be elated. I downloaded Battlefield 4 which was about 26GB and it took me 3 days, 24 hours a day.

That's twice as fast as the Wireless-N WLAN throughput I get at home. That must be really nice for cloud storage!

Anyways, I'm at the car dealer servicing my car and just did a speed test on their WLAN network. I'm at -65 to -60 dbm from the AP and here are the connection speed and WLAN throughput:

Download speed test:
Connection rate (PHY rate): 90 Mbps
Actual speed: 40.70 Mbps

Upload Speed Test:
Connection rate (PHY rate): 120 Mbps
Actual speed: 47.41 Mbps

@ techtitan100 and theveterans. It seems the further you move out of Calgary the better your internet gets lol. I pay over $120/mnth for my home connection to get this speed. I sure wished I lived in Olds AB though. 1Gbps connections to the homes out there and its CHEAP!!! Less than half of what I have to pay.

As for my wifi connections I changed wireless cards to the ac7260 cards and can get about 120-210 mbps depending on how far I am away from my networked rt-ac68u and rt ac66u

I'm pretty sure you can't wait for the 3x3 ac half mini cards to appear on the market. I'm still surprised that 2x2 ac can't still transfer all of your bandwidth a few feet away from the router. I can reach 150 - 180 Mbps on a 300 Mbps Wireless-N University WiFi though. I'd expect that 2x2 ac can at least be 2x faster at 360 Mbps actual throughput, but I guess a 3x3 ac WiFi is needed for that.

@theveterans, when I was setting up shaw in the house and they just finished bridging my modem over the phone I did a test right beside the router and I got 228 through wireless. I was pretty excited about that cause I have a dell inspiron 7720 special edition which only has a 100Mbit wired ethernet card in it??????? Who the hell uses them still eh? So when I did the wireless test and got that speed I was sooooo impressed. Needless to say I don't plug it in to ethernet anymore.

And as we know 228Mbps is only around 23MBps

I might be going out of the thread topic here but I think there's still something wrong with either your router setup or your WiFi adapter. Well, the 7260AC should be able to do 300 Mbps throughput easily since the maximum PHY rate is 866.7 Mbps. If my Wireless-N wifi can squeeze 179 Mbps out of a 300 Mbps connection, the 7260AC should be able to transfer a maximum sustained rate of 330 Mbps! Maybe there are other networks overlapping in your 5 GHz band but anyways, I just want to let you know that the 7260AC can still perform faster than what you're actually getting.

Wow thats one big upload speed. What speed do you pay for? Also I can see you either has a older version of Java or not have it installed or enabled since the ping is 0ms.

It's my university WiFi if you look at the lower left of the screenshot. The download speed is capped at 4.4 Mbps so that you don't hog all the bandwidth. Based on my observations, enterprise WiFi setup like from from both my car dealer's and university (both use Aruba Networks) really give 0 ms ping on speedtest.net

Pretty sure Virgin are throttling us at the moment - we regularly trigger the traffic management system, or whatever bs they call it.

Currently on 60Mb/s but never see North of 45Mb/s; we're getting an upgrade to 100Mb/s in April though!
