Also the fact that Orange are capping my broadband between 6pm and midnight because apparently I downloaded over 40Gb in 2 weeks Then got to speak to some idiot from Orange who claimed that going on line and viewing web pages didn't involve downloading.

Here are my results on Comcast during peak neighborhood use. I usually am significantly faster.

Had this installed a couple of weeks ago, was a bit worried after reading horror stories on VM forum but so far its been amazing.Trick is to use a premium news server (ie. paid) and multiple downloads using a manager but I`m sure most here know that.

You have 50 Meg BroadBand by Virgin Media..? If you do then you should not be running 2 Meg and it isn't ADSL either its Fibre Optic cable so can't understand where you got your stats from...?

I may be wrong in reading your post but the way you have writen it it sounds like your saying you have DSL on Virgin and 2 Meg on a 50 Meg connection.
