Well hopefully beginning of next month I should be getting about 5 MB's or thereabouts.

I was talking to a friend last night and after telling him the SNR Margin, Line Attenuation and the Data Rate he said I was definitely being throttled, by the numbers I should have been getting nearly 6 MB's

I know a lot would say keep away from BT but that's my best option where I am, the exchange I'm on only has BT with ADSL and ADSL Max there's no sign of anyone else going there and unbundleing and it's not even going to be 21 CN until 2011.

I'm in a small coastal village and lucky to even have broadband let alone any choice, we don't even have main gas here :p

Mine varies depending on the OS... in XP I always get around this speed:



In Vista and W7 I always get around 10-12Mbps
