A little CPU OC will help your RAM scores/performance.
Your stock CPU cooler will handle a mild OC, if you are planning on OC'ing you need to get a better CPU cooler.

That does say you are running at 1600MHz. What does the SPD tab show? Your specs don't say how much ram you have. You are indeed running 3 dimms, triple channel? I don't see Corsair on the QVL (Qualified Vendor List), so I can't get much info. Obviously it's working, and I suspect it isn't an issue. Perhaps when Dave76 or another hardware Guru comes by, they will have some ideas.

As A Guy said, post your CPUZ SPD tab.

The new i5/i7 P67/Z68 mobos have an improved architecture and will generally get better scores/performance.

With more tweaking and a little OC you should be able to get sub 24k.

@Dave - Thanks for the reply. Yeah I am probably going to lightly overclock the CPU to 4 GHZ. Right now everything is bone stock on my machine. I am just trying to set up a good optimized base before I start and overclock a wee bit. :)

Yes, I'm @4.0. But Sandy Bridge overclocks different than any other system I've been on. You don't OC the FSB just the multiplier. But remember, I'm running faster ram than you. My ram isn't overclocked.

The only thing you are really overclocking is the turbo.

@essenbe - Yep I follow what you are saying. Your ram indeed is clocked higher than mine. I am happy with my ram because of its very low voltage usage, its CAS times etc etc. I don't intend on changing anything...just intend to find possible options in the BIOS that are not set up right. Once I figure all that out, then a light overclock will be done. I am going to turn off the Turbo option in the processor anyway.

I think I would too with your system. I had an AMD system overclocked and turned off The turbo on it. With an OC, turbo would probably make it BSOD or something worse.

Hmmm, not sure I agree about turning off turbo, especially for a small overclock. If you want to do a major overclock, you need to turn it off, as it will clock too high when turbo kicks in. But I have a change of BCLK from 133MHz stock, to 160MHz only. This allows my CPU to idle at x9, and kick up to x21 when needed. This saves a ton of power, lowers temps, and gives me an "on demand" overclock. I have all speedstep, C1E and EIST enabled. A Guy

Does my winsat score look right to you guys? It seems a bit low for DDR3 judging by some of the other figures. I know its only 1333Mhz but still. Anything I can do to improve the performance?
